CPR and First Aid Course


The Valley Regional Hospital is hosting a CPR and First Aid Courses on February 23rd from 5pm-8pm at the Valley Regional Hospital in Claremont. The cost is $18 per person and registration is required. To register or for more information contact Beth at 603-542-1839.

Benefit Concert


The Claremont Moose Lodge is hosting a benefit this Saturday, February 25th, for a local Claremont man who was working on his house when he fell and his nail gun put a nail through his kneecap. He is out of work for 8-12 weeks. The concert is this Saturday from 7 to 11pm the band  "Spare Changge" will be playing  rock/country. Admission is $5 to cover costs with raffles and donations accepted at the door.

Coffee Sale Donation to CHaD


Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock, best known as CHaD, will be receiving some fiscal support for its programs with the help of a fundraiser sponsored by Cumberland Farms.
 
For four weeks beginning on Thursday, February 2, Cumberland Farms in  stores across New Hampshire and Vermont will donate five cents per cup from its coffee sales to benefit the family-centered children's hospital.  CHaD is a network of over 100 physicians, with specialists in virtually every area of children’s medicine and surgery. Comedian Juston McKinney at the Claremont Opera House


Need comic relief?  Juston McKinney delivers. Rising comedic star Juston McKinney returns by popular demand to the Claremont Opera House stage February 25 at 8 pm.  Last year our spotlight operator was laughing so hard the spotlight was shaking!  Needless to say, she can’t wait to see him again this year. Charlestown FD Benefit Breakfast


The Charlestown, NH Fire Department will be holding a benefit breakfast on Sunday February 26 from 8am-11am. There will be a buffet style breakfast that will include scrambled eggs, homefries, sausage and ham, toast, pancakes with real maple syrup, coffee, juice and yes...THE FAMOUS FIREHOUSE DONUTS! Tickets are $6 for Adults and children 10 & under are $4. All proceeds will go directly to the Department Equipment Fund. The breakfast will take place at the Charlestown Fire Station located on Main Street in Charlestown, NH.

2nd Annual Downhill for Diabetes


The 2nd annual Downhill for Diabetes event will be on Sunday, February 26th, 2012 at Pico Mountain Resort in Killington, Vermont. Participants will raise money to ski or snowboard, similar to a donation walk, just Vermont style! The purpose of this event is to raise money to continue funding research and ultimately come up with a cure for this disease!  One hundred percent of the proceeds from this event will be donated to JDRF. Health Focus Group


Valley Regional Hospital is conducting a Community Health Needs Assessment Focus Group on February 29th  from 1pm - 2:30 PM in Claremont, NH.  Provide your thoughts about health services most needed in our community and give some feedback about hospital based and other community services. Turley Supper


The United Methodist Church in White River Junction will be hosting a Turkey supper with homemade pies on Saturday March 3rd from 4:30-6:30pm. Adults are $9, 6-12 yrs are $6 and Preschoolers are Free. All take out orders are $9. The event will be held at the Whiter River Junction United Methodist Church on 106 Gates Street. Turkey and Biscuit Dinner


There will be a Turkey and Biscuit Dinner held on Saturday March 3rd from 5pm-7pm to support the Ascutney Volunteer Fire Dept. The menu includes turkey, biscuits, gravy, tossed salads and desserts. This event will be held at Martin Memorial Hall Rt. 5 in Ascutney, VT. Adults are $10 $5 for children ages 5-10 and children under 5 are free. For more information call 802-795-0008.

Winter Doe Camp


Registration is filling fast for the Winter Retreat for Adventurous Women!  Choose your own courses at Doe Camp to be held at the Hulbert Outdoor Center, March 2-4, 2012. Women and daughters ages 15 and up can stay in heated cabins at night and play all day. Spend the weekend learning winter outdoors skills while staying near the shores of Lake Morey!  Classes such as dog sledding, fire making, traditional winter camping, cross country skiing, orienteering, spring turkey hunting, ice fishing and many more will be offered.  Don't miss the opportunity to receive affordable outdoor education in a stress-free, supportive environment.  Cost for the all-inclusive weekend program is $285. Wild Game Dinner


The Meriden Volunteer Fire Department's Annual Wild Game Dinner will be held on Saturday, March 10th at the Kimball Union Acade,y Dinning Hall in Meriden, NH. The dinner runs from 5pm-7pm. Ticket prices in advance are $15 for adults, $9 for children ages 4-10 and $4 for children under 4. Ticket prices increase to $17 for adults and $10 for children ages 4-10 at the door. Clothing Drive

The clothing drive begins on Sunday, February 26, 2012 and continues through Saturday, March 10, 2012. Customers can drop off their donations any time during store hours, which are 10 AM to 9 PM Monday - Saturday and 11 AM to 6 PM Sunday. Items needed include gently-worn Clothing, Shoes, and Jackets.

Vermont Naitonal Guard 40th Army Band Concert


The Vermont National Guard and the Office of the Adjutant General are proud to present Vermont’s Own 40th Army Band with their March concert tour.

Grocery Bingo

Hospice Volunteers


The Connecticut River Valley Home Care and Hospice are currently recruiting volunteers to assist our organization with hospice patients and families. If you would like to become a volunteer we are offering a new training program.
